The Small Business Readiness strategy is designed to ensure that businesses across Philadelphia are prepared to capitalize on the opportunities created by FIFA 2026. The strategy is delivered through a citywide playbook and managed in partnership with local organizations:
Temple Small Business Development Center (SBDC):
Will oversee readiness programs for businesses located outside of the Strengthen Your Biz corridors. Temple SBDC will deliver group-based workshops, online training, and advisory sessions to ensure businesses citywide can access resources and participate in the 2026 opportunity.
The readiness playbook itself outlines key steps for businesses to:
- Prepare for international visitors
- Upgrade technology and online presence
- Understand and leverage customer data
- Build strong discovery and review profiles
- Participate in corridor-wide promotions and tours
This two-pronged approach ensures equitable access to readiness support while maximizing the impact of corridor activations and maintaining consistent standards across all business touchpoints in the city.
